::It's been nearly a month since the mysterious creatures showed up. They appear seemingly out of nowhere, and vanish nearly as fast. To date, they've typically shown up only on off-hours.::

::This is no longer the case.::

::Around 8 pm, several pillars of light form in the skyline for an instant. Moments later, multiple locations are once again plagued by the hulking brutes from before. They are not great in number, but they seem to be holding closer to one another.::

::Of note, they are currently occupying Domino Park, a couple residential areas, a train depot, and a major intersection. Most citizens flee at the sight of them. Police have surrounded the group at the intersection, and likely will deal with the depot soon.::

::Things haven't degraded much yet, but it's very likely that gunfire, cars, and possibly people will start flying very soon...::

Early for what exactly?

*Juudai looks over at the two creatures, standing his ground for now.*

And I'd rather you had your "pets" back off.

A moment, I'm nearly finished here.

::They turn back to the 'directory', and goes back to their chanting and motioning. The 'letters' again briefly shining in the air as they sink into it, a delicate dance of light in clean lines and arcs.::

::So long as Juudai doesn't try to interfere, the brutes make no motion towards him.::

*Juudai decides it was best to just wait and see what happens after he's finished his weird chanting. It was better than taking on the creatures at this point.

Crossing his arms, Juudai watches on curiously, but also ready in case something happens which he needs to act upon.*

::After a minute or two, they stop. After a moment's pause, a slight sound can be heard behind Juudai, and the brutes move away, towards the center of the station, where all of them are gathering.::

It is halfway complete.

::The armored person turns to Juudai.::

I am Sharar, the Adversary. A game is upon you. Fail, and my realm, Gershom, will be upon you.

::Before Juudai has a chance to get a word in edge-wise, a pillar of light erupts from the 'directory', momentarily blinding him. In the sky, off to the left, he might catch a glimpse of another pillar in the corner of his eye. Turning to it, yet another can be seen farther away still, again in the corner of his eye.::

::When the light finally subsides, only Sharar is left there. The brutes have all vanished, and Sharar is starting to turn as if to leave as well.::

...I have heard promising things of you, Yuuki Juudai. Pray you do not disappoint.

O-Oi! Are you just going to leave like that and barely explain anything!? What game? Are you planning an invasion or something!?

::Sharar turns their head back to Juudai, and raises a hand behind him. The air crackles and sparks, tearing asunder exposing a rift flowing with shadows and deep, purple energy very similar to Sharar's eyes.::

A game must not be too easy. Use every resource. Every help. Confront me again.

The clues are here. Find and use them. Win, if you can.

::Sharar lifts off the ground, and floats into the rift, chuckling darkly to themselves as the rift closes behind them, leaving Juudai very much alone, with only the barest traces that Sharar and his 'pets' had even been there.::
