::It's been nearly a month since the mysterious creatures showed up. They appear seemingly out of nowhere, and vanish nearly as fast. To date, they've typically shown up only on off-hours.::

::This is no longer the case.::

::Around 8 pm, several pillars of light form in the skyline for an instant. Moments later, multiple locations are once again plagued by the hulking brutes from before. They are not great in number, but they seem to be holding closer to one another.::

::Of note, they are currently occupying Domino Park, a couple residential areas, a train depot, and a major intersection. Most citizens flee at the sight of them. Police have surrounded the group at the intersection, and likely will deal with the depot soon.::

::Things haven't degraded much yet, but it's very likely that gunfire, cars, and possibly people will start flying very soon...::

::The brute moves to the side with Sadame, keeping him from going deeper into the park. Almost as if protecting something.::

::There's no real way to tell if it understands what he's saying at all. Regardless, its stance implies 'You shall not pass!'::

::Then again, stepping 'outside' might not be as safe as Sadame thinks...::

Does there seem to be more of them? They seem to at least keep their distance if he doesn't get any closer...*

::Oh yes. There's about a dozen of them that have commandeered about half the park.::

::They've scared a number of people, and probably battered a few, but to their credit, no one has died yet.::

::...Yet.::

He could've handled it, maybe, if it were just one of them... but it isn't worth it if it's so many of them. He sighs.*

Fine. I will retreat for the time being.

*he turns and goes, glancing back a bit to see if that thing is still there.*
