::It's been nearly a month since the mysterious creatures showed up. They appear seemingly out of nowhere, and vanish nearly as fast. To date, they've typically shown up only on off-hours.::

::This is no longer the case.::

::Around 8 pm, several pillars of light form in the skyline for an instant. Moments later, multiple locations are once again plagued by the hulking brutes from before. They are not great in number, but they seem to be holding closer to one another.::

::Of note, they are currently occupying Domino Park, a couple residential areas, a train depot, and a major intersection. Most citizens flee at the sight of them. Police have surrounded the group at the intersection, and likely will deal with the depot soon.::

::Things haven't degraded much yet, but it's very likely that gunfire, cars, and possibly people will start flying very soon...::

::The beast seems to weigh its options, and decides that as long as she isn't too close, that it's not really worth it.::

::So for the moment, it seems like a stand-off.::

::Seems like it's not going to give her what she wants.::

::Stands there, then, waiting for you brutes to either attack or leave.::

::It takes quite a while, and so long as no one makes any moves towards them, they seem content to simply stay where they are.::

::...eventually, though, a strange crystalline ...thing... seems to... for lack of a better word, teleport into the center of the brutes, causing them all to turn around, and gather towards it.::

::She tries to quietly approach it, but she's like Envy from Full Metal Alchemist, in that she's fairly heavy for her size.::

::Before she's really gotten the chance, and once the brutes are all huddled up, the crystal shines internally, and in the distance several pillars of light brighten the sky for a moment...::

::...and in that moment, the crystal, and all of the brutes, shine, distort, and seem to vaguely launch skyward... except they vanish right where they were. Teleported, in another word.::

::The intersection is once again clear of obstruction... and besides the signs of the brief fight, there's nothing to show that they were ever there.::
