::At a train depot in Domino, a strange relic sits where a directory once had. An obelisk, made of black stone with flecks of various shades of gray looks out of place, though not especially so. An art piece, likely. Especially with the way its carvings seem to faintly glow a deep purple at night.::

::Most people ignore it, as it's perfectly ordinary and really, noone wants to pay it any mind.::

::Of course, a few people know better, and can see through the weakened ruse to know that it is no ordinary piece of stone...::

[Event: Brazen]

::It's been nearly a month since the mysterious creatures showed up. They appear seemingly out of nowhere, and vanish nearly as fast. To date, they've typically shown up only on off-hours.::

::This is no longer the case.::

::Around 8 pm, several pillars of light form in the skyline for an instant. Moments later, multiple locations are once again plagued by the hulking brutes from before. They are not great in number, but they seem to be holding closer to one another.::

::Of note, they are currently occupying Domino Park, a couple residential areas, a train depot, and a major intersection. Most citizens flee at the sight of them. Police have surrounded the group at the intersection, and likely will deal with the depot soon.::

::Things haven't degraded much yet, but it's very likely that gunfire, cars, and possibly people will start flying very soon...::

[Event: Curfew Cometh]

::Late Friday night, around 2 am, desk jockies out with coworkers and others who have stayed up too late and probably with too much to drink spot monsters not unlike those which appeared before.::

::This time, it seems to have flown more under the radar, partially because it was late, partially because so many people who saw them probably figured they were just seeing things... but also because there weren't as many out and about. The hulking creatures were fewer, and seemed to detour people rather than scaring them inside. Rather than single creatures, they moved about in pairs. One thing's for certain, though. They weren't letting anyone near the park, until around 2:30 when they all mysteriously vanished yet again.::

::Around that same time, a call was placed to 110. An elderly couple calling about a suspicious man outside in their yard. When the officer arrived on the scene, the couple seemed confused, and attributed their fear as being still half asleep and dreaming. It certainly sounded like something out of a dream, with the man being decked out in black armor of a more European design.::

::Yes, the officer let it go rather quickly. After all, how much stock can you put in what an old half-asleep couple says? Especially when they can't seem to remember when they got that perfectly ordinary statue, sitting about where they saw the man. Must be Alzheimer's.::

[Event - Something Wicked This Way Comes]

::It's a normal weekday afternoon, a Tuesday in fact, around 2 pm. The streets are fairly quiet, most people are at work, after all. Yes, a perfectly quiet, ordinary day.::

::At least it was, until the monsters started showing up. All over Domino, a few on the docks, a dozen or so downtown, large, muscular creatures without eyes appear, sparsely scattered all over Domino. They appear to be looking around, making threatening gestures at anyone foolish enough to stay outside while they strut around. Their impressive stature and musculature is usually enough to let them get their way.::

::Of course, a few punks and ruffians who don't take the hint find themselves knocked into walls, some many yards away. The creatures don't seem interested in killing them, but the punches definitely hold nothing back.::

::Do you dare stand up to these creatures?::

Ahhh... such a wonderful place this is...
I have my snack, I have access to a number of toys and I can do all of it in the relative safety of a shell universe created by a stream child... Now if I could only link other toys to this journal, I can have all sorts of fun. ♥
